"A man must always seek to go beyond himself, beyond what he can hope to achieve ..."

He is also a Real Estate Appraiser at the Abidjan Court of Appeal and Consultant for the African Development Bank (ADB).

On its training Abdoulaye Dieng said:

In France, the Beaux-Arts, faithful to their legendary tradition, trained, structured and liberated my creative mind and imagination; they awakened the artist and the town planner that was slumbering in me..... In addition, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States, by primarily instilling in me discipline and rigor, made me realize the pre-eminence of the object or building, the pre-eminence of function over aesthetic. I also learnt that architecture coincides with constraints and realities.......”
